Finished quilt

This is the quilt that my mother and I made for my

cousin Darlene.  The charm squares are “Posh” from

Moda.  I used the “Disappearing Nine Patch” pattern.

This is a baby “Disappearing Nine Patch”  that is currently

in the works.  It is for the baby girl of my co-workers.

I used Charm squres from Moda’s Sleepy Time, mixed with

other baby prints that I had been collecting for a while.  I

really like the randomness of the charms.  I have two more to

make for co-workers that are having boys.  I am ready to move

onto a new project.

Speaking of new projects, I used my Christmas present, Barnes

and Noble gift card to purchase these two new books:

Sew Everything Workshop by Diana Rupp and

Seams to Me by Anna Maria Horner, (who also designs

beautiful fabrics for Free Spirit).  These books and great for

beginers but also great for getting back to the basics!

I am planning on doing more sewing starting this year

and will refer to these for inspiration.

This is one of the “Shark” quilts that I donated to the

Binky Patrol.  I also made a couple for my co-workers.

Wow, my first post!  I think that I did ok!  Hopefully

I will get this blog thing down soon!

 Have a great night!
